I had never seen a person look at me with so much intensity and tenderness. She was so interested and had so many questions. I knew this couldn’t just have been because she wanted to learn seeing there were hundreds of people at that camp back in 2018. “Why me?”, I thought. No one had approached me like that before. It was like we were drawn to each other in an unexplainable way after locking eyes with her several times during the camp. My heart jumped when she asked if we can be friends. She took the words right out of my mouth. Her gentleness and her teachability resounded deep into my soul. Her beauty pierced my heart and I just knew this was it. It took me three years to finally ask her to walk the walk of life with me. These four years have been a beautiful, exciting, learning and heart-gracing experience walking with the most captivatingly amazing person I have ever seen and loved. It’s still like a dream to me that I get to marry exactly what I asked God for. The surrealistic feeling of butterflies never stops rumbling in my tummy. Here we are. You and I, Adjoa, forever!
